Pen Bay Christian School has just completed a very successful Read-A-Thon, inspiring all of their students to read for pleasure while raising money for classroom extras and field trip expenses.  This year’s Read-A-Thon motivated siblings to read with one another and inspired parents to become more involved in what their students are reading.  Each classroom was challenged to read more minutes than the other classes.  The winner this year is Mrs. Chamberlain’s 4th, 5th and 6th grade classroom!  They rose to the challenge and read over 59 hours as a class.   Pen Bay Christian School’s kindergartener, Melyana Bernardo was the top reader for the entire school.  She read over 900 minutes during the month of February!  Read-A-Thons help students find out just how fulfilling reading can be, and also inspire students to become active, lifelong readers.  Congratulations and great job Pen Bay Christian School students!
